Mistral Adds a $0.15 AI Model: How Cheap Can AI Agents Become?
AI Wallet
French AI company Mistral has added Z.ai GLM 5.3 Flash to its API platform, giving businesses another low-cost option for AI agents, coding and complex tasks. The model costs $0.15 per million input tokens, $0.03 for cached input and $0.50 per million output tokens. It also supports a context window of up to one million tokens, allowing applications to process large amounts of information in a single request.
The calculator uses published token rates. Actual costs depend on usage, cache eligibility, model performance and additional services. The model’s large context window does not mean every request will use one million tokens.
Cached input is counted as part of total input: each input token is billed once, at either the standard or the cached rate.
For businesses, these prices show how affordable basic AI processing can become. A company using 10 million input tokens and 2 million output tokens in one month would pay approximately $2.50 in model API charges, assuming no caching or additional services. However, a lower token price does not always mean a lower cost per completed task. Companies still need to consider model quality, reliability and how many requests are needed to complete their work.
